Eutaw Place Baptist Church re-located to Stevenson Lane in 1969 and became Woodbrook Baptist Church at that time. The current facility was constructed in two phases, the first completed in 1969 currently serves the educational and fellowship functions of the church and in the second phase the new sanctuary was completed in 1997.
The latter seats over 400 persons and held 431 on dedication sunday in 1997. It was designed specifically to bring the congregation into the center of worship and to utilize state of the art audio-visual technology to enhance the worship experience. A Meyer 10 rank pipe / digital hybrid organ and a newly acquired Kawai seven foot concert grand piano provide instrumental support for worship.
The former sanctuary serves as a fellowship hall capable of seating 150 persons for a meal. Smaller rooms for Sunday School classes, library, pastor's office, the Eutaw Place Room and a very well equipped kitchen surround it.
The lower level houses additional rooms for classes and the Weekday Early Education Center, a nursery/pre kindergarten school operated by the church.
At the lowest level a music suite with office, rehearsal room and storage space is located. The two sections of the building surround a central, partially enclosed courtyard with fountain and an office wing.
We have parking for 94 cars and a recently renovated playground used both by the WEE Center and the church. A large drainage area has been developed as a flower bowl with both cultivated and wild flowers providing color throughout the warm seasons.
